Fire Academy FAQs
The New Recruit Fire Academy is a comprehensive training program designed to equip newly hired firefighters with the essential skills and knowledge needed for their roles. It covers a wide range of topics, including fire safety, emergency response, and practical firefighting techniques.
To become part of the next academy class, you must first be hired by one of our partner agencies. These agencies send their newly hired firefighters to participate in the academy.
The Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) is made up of eleven fire departments in Northern Colorado. The membership includes:

- Windsor Severance Fire Rescue
To apply, you should reach out directly to the partner agencies. Each agency has its own hiring process and requirements, so it's best to contact them for detailed information on how to apply.
Keep an eye on our social media acounts because we do our best to let everyone know when our partner agencies are hiring.
Currently, the academy is specifically designed for recruits hired by our partner agencies. We recommend contacting these agencies to explore employment opportunities that could lead to participation in the academy.

Leadership Training FAQs
Your training staff will be selecting the students from your department. All students will be notified of selection no later than the end of July.

Not yet, but we are working toward that goal.
No. Attendance is an important part of the course and grading structure. Students should not enroll in the course if they will miss more than two classes in any given semester.
